Stocking Stuffer Gift Guide Under $20

by The Classic Brunette, 3:07:00 PM

I realize I already wrote a stocking stuffer post a few weeks back, but this one is a little different so hear me out! These are specifically for the girly girl in your life AND if you're looking to stick to a budget. All of these gifts are under $20, but many are actually under $10! I think the perfect stocking stuffer is on the more affordable side, otherwise it might as well just be a regular gift under the tree, right? I also think stocking stuffers are a great chance to provide some things that are necessary including cozy socks, a new phone case, or even some new underwear, ha! You can shop all the items with the links above, but I'll also be sharing some details of my fave items below.

Sentimental Jewelry With James Avery

by The Classic Brunette, 12:06:00 PM

As many of you know, I love it when my jewelry carries a personal meaning. I believe that the most beautiful pieces come with a story, and that's exactly what James Avery believes as well. This family owned company is all about creating those sentimental pieces that celebrate the things that you hold close:love, family, faith, friendship. Things that also happen to coincide with Christmas! So what better way to enjoy the holiday with some timeless and unique pieces that allow you to share your story. With these being my first James Avery pieces, I wanted to make sure I chose items that really spoke to me. Keep reading to see how these rings hold meaning!

Pink Glam Christmas Decor

by The Classic Brunette, 2:04:00 PM

It's almost Christmas! These past few months have absolutely flown by, but if it means the holidays get to come faster I'm okay with it. I've had my decorations up since the beginning of November, but I know not everyone goes as holiday crazy as I do. These photos have been sitting on my computer for a few weeks now, but now I think it's the perfect time to share my decor! Thanksgiving has passed, so now it's all Christmas all the time! My decor is definitely a representation of my regular style, AKA pink, gold, and glam. But I also wanted to have a 'classic Christmas' feel as well, let me know if you think I hit the mark!

Stocking Stuffers For Everyone On Your List

I swear these past few months have just flown by! How is it already almost Thanksgiving? Although I love Thanksgiving with all my heart, there's no doubt that Christmas is my favorite holiday. The only thing that truly stresses me out this season (besides running into people I don't remember/don't remember me from high school πŸ˜¬πŸ˜‚) is finding great gifts for people. I'm one of those people who regularly has to ask my friends exactly what they want for the holiday, and if they really don't know I get them a gift card. Not necessarily a bad thing, and I've been getting better over the years. But I'd love to be one of those people who always finds the perfect gift without asking. The worst of the gifts? Stocking stuffers. But luckily I've got a number of gifts in this post that can work in the stocking or under the tree.

Hey y'all it has been quite a long time since making a post on here, about three months in fact! What can I say besides life gets in the way and sometimes that comes first. I love to be open on here, so maybe I'll share more in a future post. For now, let's move on to...buying fake designer bags online! If you search on google for fake bags you'll have a lot of luck, if you know how to look that is. by The Classic Brunette, 3:49:00 PM
This post is sponsored by on behalf of Summer’s Eve.

Periods! Most of you reading this probably get them. So why is it that they are rarely ever talked about? Just like mental health, there's a whole stigma around periods and feminine hygiene, but we're here to break down those barriers! If we all were to open up about these topics a little more we could all help us navigate this life a little better. So I'm starting here on the blog and sharing a few tips for how I feel my absolute best during my worst week of the month. Don't worry though, we won't get too TMI here today, just a little bit of girl talk!

Statement Earrings Under $50

by The Classic Brunette, 9:32:00 AM

I hope you all are having a great start to your week! I have a busy few days ahead of me, but this weekend I'll be celebrating the wedding of a friend from college and am so excited to see her! With summer coming up I thought it would be the perfect time to share my favorite way of expressing myself: fun statement earrings! Summer to me means off the shoulder tops, bright colors, and a beautiful statement earring. I've rounded up all of my favorite statement pairs that are all under $50, although most of them are $25 and under! You know I'm all about staying in budget, so I tried to find pairs that wouldn't break the bank (meaning you can stock up on multiple pairs!!) Some of these I own myself, others are on my list to purchase, but all are obsess-worthy.

What are your favorite ways to make a fashion statement during the summer?

Why I Use Multiple Moisturizers

by The Classic Brunette, 9:55:00 AM

Last week on my Instagram stories I shared that I use four different moisturizers, and y'all went a little nuts over it! Haha. Many of you were confused, intrigued, and surprised, but most of you were curious as to WHY. Well, this post is all about that. Let's start this post off right though by clarifying that I am indeed not a skincare professional, and this is just my preference of how to treat my skin and what works for me! As I said, I switch off between four different moisturizers depending on how my skin is feeling and other factors like the time of day and weather. I'll be doing a more in depth review on each moisturizer and what I use it for below!

Girly Dallas Living Room

by The Classic Brunette, 11:24:00 AM

I'm so excited to finally share with you all part of my new place in Dallas! If you've ever moved somewhere, I'm sure you know the struggle that is getting a room together. Almost three months have gone by and I'm only just getting things finished off and finalizing new decor. My best friend and I split most of our furniture and decor evenly, so I had to fill in those empty spots in the new place, but I was mostly set. Luckily I didn't have too difficult of a time finding the items I wanted (and almost all at great prices!) but I did need a little help putting things together and styling it in the most flattering way. So I do want to give a shout out to my closest friend out here in Dallas, Brooke, for using her interior design and decorating skills to help make my place completely come together! And also for hanging things because I'm probably the least handy person you will ever meet, haha. So without further adieu, here's a look at my new living room space and some thoughts on why I went with this decor!

Recent Purchases + Why You Should Purchase In Multiples

by The Classic Brunette, 11:28:00 PM

Howdy friends! (That's right, I'm in Texas now, so I get to use cowboy talk πŸ˜‰) I haven't done any fashion inspired posts in a bit, and I figured I would show y'all a little bit of what I've been purchasing lately. I've somehow found myself headed to Nordstrom Rack a lot recently since there's one close to my new apartment, and I kept running into the same few pieces that I loved. So, you know what the say, if you like it in multiples! This was something my dad said to me so many times growing up, and it got ingrained into my mind that it's the smart thing to do when you really like something. I agree, BUT, I typically only do this with more classic pieces unless the trendier ones are very reasonably priced. And luckily for you all, I've found some items that I'm obsessed with and have bought multiples of...that you can find all in one place. I've had luck finding some of these pieces in store, but most are easier to find online if you don't want to go on a fruitless search in store. Here are the things I've picked up recently!

Scalloped Cami

I'm honestly surprised that these camis are still in stock! I've had my black and white ones since around December! They've only added to the colors/patterns they come in, which is a bonus for me! I just bought the leopard one last week at my local store. Although it says sold out in a few colors/sizes online, I saw multiple off those on the racks. So be sure to check in store for those as well! Also, if you're a bit busty, you might want to go up a size!

The second I saw these sandals I knew I was going to fall in love with them. They weren't too tall, they had a platform which would make them comfortable, and they came in five colors! I found the snakeskin ones in store, tried them on and it was probably one of the quickest "I have to buy these" moments I've had in quite a while. So then I went on a search to find the black pair at another store. I would have purchased them in the tan too, but my best friend are the same size and she bought them in that color! So I'll just be borrowing hers, haha.

I do want to stress though that these sandals are so so comfortable. I personally didn't even have to break them in before wearing them out. The platform makes it feel like there's barely a heel, but it isn't too high where you feel wobbly on your feet! Although these are more on the expensive side ($80), I believe the shoe style is classic and worth the investment. Although if you're only looking to get one color, I would say you can't go wrong with the black or tan, they go with anything!

GUYS. I FINALLY BOUGHT A BODYSUIT! For a while I was sure that all bodysuits were just going to make me look like a toddler in a gymnastics class, but I finally found one that looks good! So what do I do? Of course I buy it in every color/pattern. The best part is I don't feel bad about doing it because they're only $23 each. Such a deal for something I've basically been living in this past week (I think I wore it 4/7 days this week...) It's comfortable, stretchy enough that my booty/hips fit without making me feel squished. I sized up because I wanted a bit of a looser fit, however your traditional size will fit great as well! The bodysuit comes in black and leopard too (they're in the mail, but I'll show them on stories once they get here!) If I had to tell you to absolutely get one of these items, it would be this one! Plus it's pretty dang budget friendly! My best friend also bought two of the three colors as well, I swear it's currently my favorite thing in my closet.

P.S. I know I found all of these items at Nordstrom Rack, but this post isn't sponsored by them! (Although....hit me up Nordstrom Rack I love you!) I just happened to get so many deals here recently that I had to share! Which item is your favorite?

Hello Dallas + Why I Moved From Seattle

by The Classic Brunette, 9:00:00 PM
It's been a little over a month since moving to Dallas, and I figure I owe you all a bit of an explanation for my move. I was a little quiet on why I was moving, and although I gave you all a brief explanation on Instagram back in October I wanted to delve a little deeper on the reasons why I left Seattle. As many of you know my blog is a place to be open and honest about my life and what's happening, and if even one of you can relate to what I was going through and I can somehow help you through it with my story, then great! This post is essentially for those of you who have moved somewhere and, well, absolutely knew it wasn't for you. But don't worry, my story has a happy ending!

24 Lessons To My Younger Self

by The Classic Brunette, 12:00:00 AM

I officially turned 24 on Thursday (my golden birthday) and it's been a BUSY week for me in my personal life. As you've probably noticed I took some time away from the blog since around Christmas and although I didn't mean for my absence to be this long and sporadic, I think it was a good move to take a break from the blog. I was getting overwhelmed, my heart wasn't in it for a little bit, but stepping away made me realize how passionate I truly am about my job! I've been coming up with some ideas for the future, some new projects, and how I can make TCB work better for both myself and you! On that note, today's post is one of the more personal ones. I'm sharing 24 lessons to my younger self that I've learned in my 24 years. Although the list is for me, it has lessons that I think are relevant to everyone at any age!

My Experience With The KonMari Method Of Organization

by The Classic Brunette, 2:18:00 PM
If you've been anywhere near social media recently I'm sure you've heard all about Marie Kondo and her magical ability to tidy up and organize. Her new Netflix show premiered on January 1st and everyone practically went crazy over the KonMari method and Marie's way of making you gain a new perspective on your living space and all the items you own. I had seen a bunch of stuff about the show on my social media feeds and decided to finally give the show a shot after getting fed up with my messy, overstuffed dresser drawers. Let me tell you guys up front, this show is going to basically be a hit or miss for you. I've heard some people talk about how Marie is "too cutesy" and "strange for talking to clothes" (don't worry, I'll explain in a bit!) but if you're willing to give her method a try I promise it can change how you view organization! Another warning, the photos I'm sharing aren't "goals" or even blogger-worthy today, I'm literally just sharing what my drawers look like after using the KonMari method. This post is definitely more information and personal experience based than anything!
