Omg guys, so I tried to take photos of this outfit ASAP so that things wouldn't sell out, but...Black Friday and Cyber Monday. I had no chance. Although some things might come back in stock (the jeans definitely will!) I'm not sure some items, like the sweater, will. But I did link to similar items, so if you'd like to recreate the look there are still options! 😊 P.S. Make sure to read to the end of this post to enter in the Nordstrom giveaway!
So I wanted to take this post as an opportunity to re-introduce myself if you are new here to The Classic Brunette! Maybe you're like me and totally creep on multiple pages of a blog once you start reading them and simultaneously find out so much info about the blogger that you feel like you kinda sorta know their life story....or maybe you're a normal person and just read their blogs and don't creep like I do. Either way, no judgement! But, for those of you that don't like to read back to the early embarrassing posts, I thought I would share five things about myself so we can get to know each other a little better!
Sweater: J.Crew (only xl left in pink!), Similar, Similar | Jeans: Old Navy | Boots: Target | Necklace: Pieces of Me | Bag: Marshalls, Similar, Similar | Earrings: Macy's | Lips: Burt's Bees Glossy Lipstick in Peony Dew (c/o)
1. I'm a California girl born and raised! Although, I've always wanted to experiment living somewhere new, I haven't....yet. I'm originally from the San Francisco Bay Area and went to college down in Southern California, so I can really say I've lived throughout the whole state. I do love being in California, however I would love to experience the seasons more! I would also love to have a cheaper cost of living, HA!
2. I have a kitten named Henry! He's 10 months old and was born the day after my birthday, so I think we were definitely meant to be together. He's an all black little cutie whom I ADORE. Fact within a fact, my family and I have always only had black or mostly black cats. We're most definitely cat people (although I love dogs as well!) and my parents always taught me to appreciate black cats, especially because they have such a hard time getting adopted due to their supposed unluckiness. From my experience, they're the absolute best type of cats!
3. I've traveled to 11 countries (including the U.S.) and will be adding a few more to the list come 2018. My mom was actually born in England, so visiting her home country during a study abroad trip two years ago was so fun. I loved seeing where part of my family is from (although I unfortunately didn't get to visit her hometown) and learning more about my roots. My favorite country that I've visited, however is Italy! I've been a few times, all through school related trips! That might change though with my travel plans coming up! Any guesses on where I could be going?
4. My sister and I get mistaken for twins ALL. THE. TIME. She's a year and a half older, and both of us agree that we don't look like each other all that much. (Isn't that how it always is?) This doesn't stop everyone from asking us if we're twins though. Not even exaggerating this, but nearly every single time we go out to a new place, or even just the grocery store, someone will ask us if we're twins. Let me know if you can see it!
5. If I wasn't a blogger, my dream career would take on many forms. I come up with so many goals for myself and have a ton of interests that I would love to pursue in possible careers. I have a degree in history and would love to eventually use it in some way, but most likely doing some museum work. I can spend DAYS in a museum just reading everything and taking in all the history of the place, a dream career of mine would be to work as a curator. Fun fact, this was actually my goal before starting this blog! Another industry I would love to work in would be wedding planning, or at least some aspect of the wedding process. I have an obsession with wedding shows even though I am nowhere near that stage of my life. Does it make me crazy if I love Say Yes to the Dress?!
I would love to know a fact about you in the comments! Have you traveled anywhere fun? Do you have siblings? Are you also obsessed with Say Yes to the Dress? Tell me about yourself!
With the holidays approaching, I decided to team up with some of my favorite bloggers and bring you an amazing giveaway. One lucky reader will win a $950 gift card to Nordstrom.
