I'm so excited to finally say that I have a place to live next year for school! I'll be getting my own bedroom and I'm just dying to start the decorating process. I can officially start moving things over in April, but for now I have to pin everything that seems doable on
Pinterest. Even though I'm already redoing my room at my actual house (more to come on that topic towards spring break/summer/whenever I get the time to take pictures of it), the plans for my college bedroom are different.
I wanted to show you guys a few things that have been my inspiration for the upcoming decorating explosion that's about to happen (but if you follow me on Pinterest, you've probably already had enough of it haha). So here's what I've been looking at!
This is the rough color scheme: navy, blush pink, gold, and white. However, we can't change the room's paint colors which are tan and blue, but I can make it work....somehow.
If I was living the dream this would be my bedroom. But alas, I am not. Plus, I'm only living here for two years (maybe) and I know this furniture is too expensive for that short of a time period. But isn't it beautiful?
Another, less expensive for sure, bed option. I might attempt to mix the two bedding looks and see what happens with that. I really love the idea of white bedding and bright accent pillows!
I love the short but open cabinets, and I really want to attempt a gallery wall. My roommates and I have already agreed that we want one in our living room, but I really want one in my bedroom too. I think it adds a little extra something to the atmosphere of the room.
Another option that I'm thinking about is having a mirror over the storage space/drawers. I am absolutely in love with this
one, but I think I'll have to settle with finding one cheap on craigslist and maybe starting a DIY project to make the frame gold.
I'm not exactly sure how I want to do my side table, but I do like the idea of having either one large one or two small ones at either side. Still undecided, and it will probably come down to whichever one I see first at the store. Also I like the one in the picture because it has an added shelf underneath.
MY DESK. I have big plans for my desk. My plans may come crashing down if I end up getting my sister's desk from her room right now (it's dark brown wood), but I want a white desk with lots of gold accessories. I just think that a white desk looks so clean and bright, and it will help me to de-clutter everything in my workspace. Hopefully I can snag a cheap one from Ikea, but we shall see.
I'm way too excited to decorate this room, and if you like any of these you'll most likely enjoy
the Pinterest board that I've dedicated just to this bedroom. I would love to know you're thoughts!
