Fall Wardrobe Basics And How To Style Them

Let me set the record straight right now. I LOVE to shop. Spending money on clothes is what I was born to do, BUT it's definitely not something I can afford to do. Grabbing trendy pieces every so often is great and often necessary to keep your wardrobe refreshed, but the smart way to make your closet work better for you is to buy some basics. By grabbing a few staple pieces for each season you can easily mix and match your wardrobe into a solid number of different outfits. I've picked out my personal fall basics and a lot the different ways I can pair them all together.

Styling a long sleeve striped top:
Styling a basic tank:
Styling a leopard print sweater:
I love how these items already give you 9+ outfit ideas! With the other clothes in your wardrobe you can really make these basics pop and give your own flair to any of these classic outfits. By investing in a few quality staples that you can wear for years you'll be saving yourself from tons of trendy items that will be stuck in your closet when they fall out of style next season. Sorry to cut this post a bit short, but I am currently traveling to Orange County!

Which basic are you going to add to your closet? Do you have a favorite basic that I didn't mention here?

  4. Talk about perfect timing. I was just talking to my friend about how I need to finally go shopping for some new fall staples. I'm quite the opposite, and I tend to dread having to go shopping, so I don't really do it unless it's necessary. But some basics I need are some booties and fall cardigans!
