What's In My Makeup Bag

I've wanted to do one of these posts for a while. I love creeping on what other people have in their makeup bags, and I wanted to share mine. Go ahead, get your creep on. Makeup is something I love to experiment with, although I never seem to go that far out of my comfort zone. As I've said before, I don't really wear face makeup, just because when I do I always feel paranoid about clogging my pores. But what I do love are my mascaras (I swear I hoard them!) and any kind of lip product! I have more than this in my makeup bag, because I basically keep everything I own in there, but for this post I decided to show what I use the most.

I put the Urban Decay Naked Palette first because I use it every single day, and second, I really just don't use any other eyeshadow...ever. That's how good it is. When I bought the palette it came with a tiny bottle of Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer, and I obviously fell in love with that too. I don't always use it (mostly because I'm lazy), but when I do it makes my eyeshadow more pigmented and lasts longer!

Want to know the best drugstore mascara in the world? I've tried so many mascaras over the years, and nothing compares to Maybelline's Falsies Volume Mascara. I have pretty long lashes to begin with, but the formula in this mascara somehow makes them longer, and with more volume. It's called falsies for a reason! I absolutely love it, and couldn't recommend it more!

In my favorite Chapstick post I've talked about how much I love this Lemon Lip Balm, and I always have like 6 tubes of it at a time. I have a few other lip colors on here that are my go-to's when I want to add a little extra to my makeup look. NARS Heat Wave is one of my favorites; it's an orange-red that goes with everyone's skin tone (haven't seen it look bad on someone yet!), and is a good mix from your typical red lip. Sephora's birthday gift this year was a set of NARS lip pencils, and one of them is now my favorite neutral lip color! It's called Rikugien, and I always use it for when I'm off to class! And finally I have my favorite YSL Fuchsia lipstick!

I've been a little obsessed with doing my eyebrows lately, and in my Boxycharm a few months ago I received an eyebrow brush and this Brow Trio from Bodyography. I'm so in love with it it's insane. I use the darkest color, and it blends in perfectly to add shape and color to the places that need a little extra help. I use the brush to get a little on there (trust me, a little goes a long way here!) and basically draw what I want my eyebrow to look like. I didn't know how good my eyebrows could look until I used this! Another positive about this little trio, it can be used as both eyeshadow and eyeliner as well!

What are your makeup essentials that I should check out? Tell me in the comments!

  1. First thanks for sharing what's in your bag. I LOVE posts like these because I am super nosy and a big copy cat!!! I love the yellow bag. We have the NARS pencils and the Sephora sharpener in common.

  5. I basically ditched all of my other eyeshadow for my Naked palette last year, so I definitely understand haha. If you're looking for more ideas, I'm recently obsessed with the NYX Highlight and Contour Pro Palette. I am actually posting an official review on it this Friday if you're curious. My other ride-or-dies are Milani baked blushes, and the Maybelline Master Conceal concealer. I definitely recommend those if you are looking for new things to try!

  7. You can tell a lot about lady according to the contents in her makeup bag!! I suggest a good makeup setter such as from Loreal (drugstore/mass) or Smashbox prime and setter spray!
